Darning Ladies meet at Our Saviour’s every Thursday at 1:30 pm.
The word darning comes from a sewing technique used to make bookmarks that are sent to encourage members in the hospital and those who have had a death in the family and to celebrate confirmations and graduations.
We also loving make Chrismons for each family in the church (about 180 each year). Chrismons are a symbol representing Christ made with pearl and gold beads.
When we are not making bookmarks or Chrismons we are working on different personal sewing projects. You could find someone crocheting, knitting, cross stitching or doing embroidery work. We gather together to learn from each other, enjoy fellowship and a good cup of coffee. If you are interested in learning a new sewing technique? There most likely a wise women here to help you learn.
All ladies are welcome! Please come and join us.
